At first a rather odd nose and I thought not right. Benefitted from more air however.

G91: glorious red, 40% opaque. Dirty nose. Same dirt showing in palate; weight of the shipper’s SQVP. Nose too wrong.

Graham 1991. A mature rose red colour, 50% opaque. Surprising on the nose — salad leaves and cranberries, really savoury and meaty. Sweet fruit, a little flabby on the palate with limited acidity and tannins which are barely visible withing the sweet and jammy fruit. The finish is good; being persistent blackcurrant. 85/100. Audouzed the night before the tasting, double decanted at 06.30 and tasted at 19.50. Tasted on 14-May-2024.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

G91. Medium red with some garnet tones. The nose is mostly sweet strawberry with some rich grape. The palate is smooth and rich, though somewhat simple. Some chocolate and good tannins, but could use a little more acidity to get into better balance. 92 points.

50% opacity, mature red. Red fruit on the nose, redcurrant. Soft entry, redcurrant and chocolate. Simple port.
