Fonseca 1963. Bottled by British Transport Hotels. A lovely mature brick- red colour, looking exquisite. 50% opaque. Attractive nose, full of wonderful dried fruit. Quite lovely to smell. Balanced on the palate with good concentrated black cherry. Sticky black liquorice finish. Sweet and delicious. 91/100. Tasted 23-Jul-2024.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
