Reassuringly dark colour. lot of fruit on nose. Spice. Bit of VA marring the palate?

30% opacity, mature red, orange rim, gleaming, regally.
Lovely ripe cranberries and cherries on the nose.
Soft entry, quite light, mid palate some tartness. Red fruit - cranberries. Slightly bitter and hollow finish.

Later: much, much better. More integrated, balanced, rich and syrupy.
