Indeed, though I've only just taken my first 94 case from storage, so if others are in a similar position I suspect we might not have convenient access to many yet.
Good point! Maybe we pencil something in for 2025 and give ourselves some time to collate some bottles. Obvious candidates being G, D, W, V, T, F, Cr, N, NN, Ni, S, Ch, Ck. and whatever odds and sods that folks have beyond these.
I've added this to the planner for 2025 - now needs someone to take ownership...
Further to the above, I'd be happy to take on orgainsing a 2003 horizontal for 2025. To get the ball rolling, how about some point between 17 February and 21 March inclusive?

Yes please! I believe I have at least one 2003 available and will edit this message to add that information when I find out what.

Yes please. I have several, including — I think, need to check — Cockburn, Dow, Quinta de Roriz, Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference. And maybe Sandeman.
To be helpful I have edited the first post.

Not Sandeman, but I also have Sandeman Vau, Vesuvio, and Niepoort Secundum.
Edit: and, in storage, Portal and Portal+.

If anyone is searching for additional 2003 bottles, just had a new list from Richard Brazier at
https://www.ancientandmodernwines.co.uk/ .
Has the following (ex VAT per bottle):
- Smith Woodhouse £35
- Delaforce £40
- Churchill £45

We’re doing very well for attendees and bottles. Now to the matter of a date.
I propose Tuesday 18 March 2025.
How does that sound, folks?

Thanks, all. As a majority have now indicated 18 March 2025 is acceptable, I’ll contact the B&F to get this booked in. Once done, I’ll update the first post with the reference.

Current draft of
the placemats (needing assignment of who is bringing what — to happen later).
I propose the following initial assignments for those who have indicated what they've got:
MC (Cr)
JMK (SV)
RON (G, in halves)
MPM (W)
CPR (N)
NAC (T)
MSC (F)
GEAG (Ni)
JDAW (D)
This leaves the following folk to bring a bottle (or to adopt one):
HTWH
PW
ZDR
IDJ
TC
The remaining available bottles per the first post include: Cockburn; Niepoort Secundum; Portal; Portal+; Roriz; Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference; and Vesuvio. Atopters and adoptees to agree on adoption in the usual way.

I will need to double check, but I have T, F to hand, plus some of the others just need to check which ones are to hand.
I also have Tesco's own label, which might be fun to taste against Sainsbury's?

I think it would be interesting to have the Secundum alongside the vintage, so if Julian is willing I'd like to adopt that please.

Secundum v Vintage has normally tended towards a win for Secundum for me; because they are all pretty young the vintage port made to ‘drink now’ is, well, drinking now. I look forward to another head to head.

Let’s await instruction from our master about adoption versus £ rebalancing.

Am happy either way (adopt/£) or indeed there is plenty of time before the tasting for me to purchase also if preferred.
