Bring a bottle - Mon 18th Nov 2024

Post by mcoulson »

It's the bring a bottle party ..... at the Boot and Flogger conf number DMN-16874186798

Nice simply criteria to play with here Ladies and Gents

Bring something that either you like or has not been reviewed on The Port Forum, of course your choice could meet both criteria.

I'll make it a blind tasting as that's more fun and we can all try and win against the monkey

Julian has kindly offered to provide placemats

Harry has offered to be the remote Monkey !!

Maybe. Possibly maybe. I'm not sure and won't be until a day or two before the 2nd.

Put me down as a reserve, please, and I'll take my chances.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

If you signed up when this event was a date in December can you just confirm your still ok with the Nov date please

Theres a new manager in the B&F and he is being a bit picky and if we need to move room I'd like to do it sooner rather than later

On the assumption that there’s nothing in their range of seasonal specials to attract, I will order a starter of Welsh rarebit (if available) followed by a steak (medium – rare) and fries with creamed spinach. Dessert tbd on the night.

Thanks

Julian, I plan to bring something that is not port but I hope to be at least interesting if not very enjoyable for the group, but I'm unclear if it needs a circle or can just be enjoyed aside from the main event.

Hi Rich

The criteria is bring a bottle so that would fit but since it's blind then it's going to make an already hard task even harder but I'll leave that call to you. Either way it should be on Julian's placemats

Cheers
