1984 Real Companhia Velha

1984 Real Companhia Velha. Bronze colour, slightly cloudy; 60% opaque. Burnt ginger nose, not pleasant. Better on the palate, but a little hollow and empty, lacking in fruit. Not a wine I would seek out if this is a representative bottle. 77/100. Guess: Borges 84. Was: RCV 84. Tasted 19-Feb-2025.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny

Pale. Cloudy. Doesn't look right. Palate not right. Probably heat damaged.
