I approached the admin of retrieving the W03 from storage. And discovered that I also have GC03.
Instructions please.
And now I'm confused. I see that Martin noted he also has GC, but GC doesn't appear on the placemats.
Michael - I think GC slipped through the net when you made this list of who should bring what. Could you translate that detail back into the first port? Otherwise I fear some folks will end up bringing duplicate bottles...
And if you want to add GC into the mix, I imagine Julian can fit 4 glasses onto the A4 page rather than 3...

First post definitely needs an update; and note that there have been changes since the post you reference also.

Team: please could you post here the number of hours you would expect a 2003 Port to be sat in its decanter prior to the tasting.
Any deviation from 3-4 hours for the Graham halves?
Also please add my food order (apologies for the delay):
- Starter: Burrata
- Main: Sirloin steak, medium rare, fries, plus a side of creamed spinach (happy to share if someone else is keen for this and doesn't want a full portion).

@Martin and @Mike - thanks for both noting that you have GC available. Whomever posts first saying they can bring it will be thanked and the first post will be updated to reflect the same. That will then complete the lineup.
jdaw1 wrote: ↑21:57 Wed 12 Feb 2025I remind you of the rules: if your food order is wrong, that’s your fault for not checking the food order. Mistakes happen: I am human; I am mortal; I have inside me Graham crusted. It is your job to check.
Alas, today I do not have inside me any Port. Nonetheless, errors are still your fault for not checking.
@Harry, @Ian and @Tony - please could you post your food orders soonest. If you don't post and if your default food order choices are still on the menu, then your default choices will be ordered. If your default choices are not on the menu, please order on the night.
@Julian - similarly, please let me know if your guest can attend and what their food order will be. Of course, they can order on the night if they cannot confirm their attendance at the moment.
I've told the B&F that the food order will be sent to over to them on 5/2/25 as they've chased me for it.

Have we decided not to include GC then (see earlier posts); it’s not attributed to anyone on the opening post, as far as I can see?

Martin and Mike have both indicated they have GC available. Waiting to see who responds first. First post will then be updated accordingly.

Martin - if you have it not in storage, I'd prefer to pass on getting a case out of storage just to get one bottle from it.

Perhaps you posted this in the wrong thread, an it's to do with something not 2003.

Anyways, I can retrieve the GC.
You have me at a disadvantage... I'm in Mauritius and running of an old excell.file ... If I said that then I must have bought at bottle at auction but it's not made it onto my phone ... My big problem is I'm away till two days before ....

The draft of the placemats has been updated: +GC; aesthetic improvements. As ever, please, to be checked: names, bottles, assignment from latter to former; other stuff.

An excellent result - thank you, Martin. This completes the lineup for this tasting.

Can’t see any Sogevinous Ports on the list - I have Kopke Burmester and Calem
As I’m visiting Burmester Monday - I’ll bring one along
Why not bring all three-we don’t look to have enough…

Thank you, Tony. First post updated and placemat considerations are already underway (ta @jdaw1).
Note the B&F doesn’t have green beans on their menu anymore.
I have invited a guest, but has sent me some blather about having “to be up at 4.30am the next morning to catch a flight.” I have, slightly, a bit, maybe, withheld my contempt.
Re the extra three (K, B, Cá), I await instructions from our master. And from Neil, re /A2.

I put Tony down as bringing B, because he said:

Re K and Cá, that’s entirely down to Tony’s discretion. Please post if you wish to bring them, Tony, so placemats can be sorted (note we are currently at 20 Ports with 13 attendees confirmed).

The draft of the placemats has been updated: +K, +B, +Cá, on /A2. For printing onto A2 these need to be finalised by Tuesday.
