Thanks for the help on the admin for my guest
He will have smoked salmon followed by haddock
As a heads up for various reasons I am going to have to spit quite a lot out - thought I should just let you all get over the shock in advance!
Very much looking forward to it

My six bottles (Pt, Pt+, Rr, Ck, SV, NiS=F&M) were left at the B&F on Wed 5th March 2025. Because the staff of the B&F might not notice the Pt / Pt+ distinction, each bottle had around its neck a pre-written Wisemanesque decanter label.

I have asked for 308 glasses. They did not indicate that this will cause any issues when they replied to my request.

Full instructions re decanting are with the staff at the B&F. I’m tempted to have my lunch there on the day of the tasting.

If anybody drops out then I have a potential backup person. Who, if nobody drops out, will just have to go thirsty.

Hah. I opened a half of Graham 2003 at the weekend - and now I’ve just realised why! My subconscious is working overtime to compensate for a tasting I’m not attending.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

My quick quality control check suggested both bottles are in good shape, how was yours?

V03 decanted 1030 this morning.
QA check - all OK.

Intending to give it 5-6 hours before it goes back into the bottle.

Don't understand. What does this "too much" mean?

Re K and Cá, that’s entirely down to Tony’s discretion. Please post if you wish to bring them, Tony, so placemats can be sorted (note we are currently at 20 Ports with 13 attendees confirmed).
Just catching up on the thread - note I am down for all three and that’s what I have! See you in about 45 mins
