I have a paid Zoom account and can re-launch if people would like. But I'm guessing it's late there so maybe we just call it?

To answer Alex's question... no, the only Nacional that I own right now are the 2 x 1994.

That was great fun guys, good to see everyone. I apologise for my frequent and extended disappearances - with the BFT being in a week's time there's a whole load of stuff I need to get done.

Not sure what happened at the end!

Glenn - I'm happy to continue for an hour or so if you send me an invite
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Last night was a lot of fun, although my dog wouldn't agree as her dinner was delayed for 2 hours.

I do always learn a lot on these calls and enjoy hearing others speak about their Port experiences although I will say in my view, 0% alcohol Port is blasphemy.

The wine that Justin was drinking (Poeira 31 Barricas) is from the personal project of Jorge Moreira, head winemaker at Real Companhia Velha and at Quinta de la Rosa (which I forgot to mention).

Just to have it on record, could people post what they opened for the Zoom get-together last Thursday?

I almost grabbed one of my Warre 2007 unfiltered, but I had opened one fairly recently and thought it could use another year or so, and instead opted for the Dow 2016 (which admittedly was quite young, but it was filtered so it got sacrificed instead). Seems to be a popular current option, though!

Warre unfiltered LBV 2003

to compare with the 2003 tasting the other day. this was in a much better place than the 2003's, had balance with nice fruits. This does give me a little hope for the 2003's in 10 to 20 years time.
