1985 Churchill

Post by jdaw1 »

As organised by Neil C., some regulars and at least one first-timer gathered at the Boot and Flogger to taste 1985s at Forty.

From an OWC of 12 purchased from C&B Broking in March 2021.
Opened and decanted at 1700 on 26/5/25 and back in the bottle at 2200, then VacUVined.
Cork fell apart upon opening.
Small QA sample was fine.

Plain capsule & tricky cork.

Ch85, red, 40% opaque. Lovely balance, dry, mid-weight, liked.

40% opacity, mature red. Cherry fruit, dryness. Alright, but not to my taste.
