1985 Martinez

Post by jdaw1 »

As organised by Neil C., some regulars and at least one first-timer gathered at the Boot and Flogger to taste 1985s at Forty.

30% opacity, copper-amber. Nose has toffee, burnt caramel, crème brûlée. Rich and very sweet entry, toffee, burnt caramel. Suspect a storage issue with this bottle. It wasn't the worst port on the table - saved by the Niepoort.
