NV Quevedo Lagrima

Light orange fading to fully translucent at the rim.

Not a big nose, faint orange blossom.

Velvety entry, almost treacle in it's weight but not nearly as sweet as I had expected from this wine. Its certainly not dry but it's got a way to go to get to PX levels of saccharine.

The entry carries honeyed melon and burnt caramel and then brings in orange blossom in the mid palate along with an acidicity that keeps the sweetness somewhat in check. A little mint and minerality in the finish which is a decent length. This is enjoyable if not spectacular - I bought it as an intriguing style that I hadn't tried and I think I could enjoy it with dessert from time to time! Good to v good, depending on how sweet you like your ports.
