Some months ago I attended one of Berry Brother’s “Lucky Dip Lunches”. Basically these are lunches with 10-12 people around the table, 4 courses of excellent quality food and 3 wines to accompany each course.
The wines are single bottles of interesting bin ends and oddments pulled out of Berry’s cellars, bottles which they don’t have in numbers needed to offer for sale.
I thoroughly enjoyed the one I went to in July, enough so that I’ve just booked myself onto the lunch in December launched on the website today - and this time I have been promised some Port! It’s not cheap at at £265 but I love these occasions.
If anyone else books a seat, let me know. If you need the link, it’s this.
(Just in case anyone is wondering, I have no financial interest in BBR other than the fact I enjoy spending my money with them.)
