Bottled matured LBV, bottled 1986. Copper red in colour; 30% opaque. A gentle nose of dried cranberry. Light bodied when compared to the other Vintage Ports shown alongside this bottle but showing wonderful evolved fruit on the palate with raisin and dried cranberry enveloped in a lovely soft wrapper. Lots of flavours, including such a delicate crystallised rose petal. Some heat on the aftertaste with dry tannins just showing on the edges of the tongue before the delicious sweet fruit comes back. Very lovely and elegant, but quite lightweight. 86/100. Decanted 6 hours.
