1970 Morgan. Attractive rose red colour, 30% opaque. Very little in the nose but there is a bit of soapy redcurrant. Very nice on the palate and with a long and lovely aftertaste and finish. Delicious bitter sloe fruit persists all over the mouth. Rather good. 89/100. Oporto bottled. Double decanted 10 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

[Sample taken on night and consumed on 13/10/25] Light red, yellow rim. Light on the nose. Palate rather prettily red fruited. But not memorable.
