Dl70 (Dalva): red-brown, 30% opaque; palate soft, but extremely extremely dry mid-palate.

Browning but hearty colour. Nose indeterminate. Good rich pruney fruit. Prickle of acidity on finish.

1970 from C. da Silva, Oporto bottled under the Dalva label. Nothing on the nose but the palate is better, still light in flavour but with a good intensity. Rather tawny in nature, fully evolved to the point of being a nicely tertiary glass of wine. Enjoyable to the point where I might consider accepting a second glass if offered one, but borderline drinkable rather than enjoyable. 84/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
