MsC70: red-brown, 20% opaque; “bitter and heat, some sweetness, but mostly nothing.”

Dried oranges on nose. Nice cinnamon / star anise note. Palate congruent. I derived enjoyment from this.

1970 Messias Quinta do Cachão, Oporto bottled. Another bronze coloured wine - this one being 40% opaque. The nose on this wine is one of the loveliest of the flight with a pronounced berry character. A little dry on the entry the wine is beautifully expressive, full of bright berry fruit with a delicious dryness. Really lively. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
