Paling rim. Big pruney nose. Coarse but not bad.

1970 Barros. Bronze red colour with a hint of brick. Not much on the nose but on the palate the wine is wonderfully expressive with a sweet berry palate that delivers a surprising amount of flavour. Of the first 7 wines of flight 0, this was the one which I enjoyed the most - but that was a low bar. A little short, but flavoursome. 86/100. Oporto bottled. Double decanted 9 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
