1970 Croft Roêda. Slightly cloudy appearance. A little harsh fruit on the nose. Sweet coffee on the palate, with some bruised cherry on the late palate. The acidity is slightly out of balance with the fully mature fruit. Bruised cherry finish with a bit of heat. Not unpleasant, but not a great wine. 85/100. Oporto botted. Double decanted 5 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Note taken on 12/10/25 from sample kindly bottled on night. Slightly cloudy but still red-orange rather than red. Cafe creme on nose. Palate is a bit harsh.
