1970 Krohn. A pale rose red, 30% opaque. A little raspberry jelly on the nose and on the palate. Light, distinctly bitter red fruit on the palate. Surprisingly intense on the mid-palate. A little VA shows on the aftertaste, which is otherwise dirty violet fruit. I didn’t like this, but can’t put my finger on exactly what the fault is. 80/100. Oporto bottled. Double decanted 10 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
