This is white only in the sense that it is not exactly red. It is a deep, glorious, mahogany.

Nose is thick with rancio and orange oil. If something can be described as having a viscous nose this has it.

Palate is rich and sweet and full of the finest sultanas, before the Oxford marmalade takes over on the finish. The finish is very long indeed, with an interesting herbaceous bitter note, very late, like chewing rosemary.

This is super fortified wine, albeit not port as I know it. I’d probably tap it as a super - well - aged sweet sherry.
