Quinta do Portal 1995. A gentle ruby red colour, 90% opaque. A little herbaceous red fruit on the nose. Nicely balanced palate with attractive acidic red and bramble berry fruit. Nice ripeness on the aftertaste and a pleasant lingering finish. Not a bad wine, but lighter and more elegant than most at this tasting. 88/100.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
