30% opacity, mature red. Soft entry, syrupy, some bitterness, strawberry, gentle heat and acidity along the palate.

Lightly pigmented, 10% opaque. Hollow nose showing almost nothing. Sweet entry, a little simple but with a delicious alpine strawberry. Single dimensional, but nicely done. The fruit dominates the aftertaste and the lingering red jelly finish. 85/100. Decanted 5½ hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
