1960 Fonseca, from JDAW stock. An attractive mature copper-red colour, 60% opaque. Another glorious nose of spiced and dried fruit! Slightly thickened texture on the palate, generous dried fruit and citrus zest - bright, lively and with a surprising amount of power. Warm and spiced aftertaste, tasting suspiciously like a mint humbug but with something more of orange drops in the mix on the long finish. Delicious Port. 93/100.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
