1977 Justerini and Brooks

Post by nac »

Bottle from a case purchased from J&B's broking list.

Opened 25 Feb 2026 at 0900 for tasting same evening.

Decanted 1200 and back in bottle at 1600.

Decanted clean and bright, loads of heavy sediment, QA sample good.

Note - whilst label says "Shipped by Smith Woodhouse" the capsule says "Gould Campbell", so the latter is assumed to be the identity. Cork just stamped "JUSTERINI'S VINTAGE".

I believe all Gould Campbell vintage port is shipped by "Smith Woodhouse & Ca. Lda." (as is Smith Woodhouse VP ofc).
Agree that given GC capsule, this is likely GC port.
