1994 Dow
Re: 1994 Dow

1994 Dow: at D+4h. An edge more opaque and purple than the ’91. Huge fruit. Much sweeter than ’91 (though not Baumé: 2.9°), less astringent, and more fruit grapey. Lovely. A Symington said ‟huge on palate, not on nose”.
My notes also record being told that treaders are paid an extra €16 for three hours treading and it’s hard work. And the Symingtons haven’t planted Roriz=Tempranillo in five years.

Also note the layout of the Symingtons’ placemats, which was partly responsible for inspiring the new /Gaia layout in the placemat software.
