SO there is thing a few wine critics made up called open thatbottle night. Basically its an execuse to open up some very nice bottles instead of waiting for a special occasion that may/may not happen. It is not a port only event but was thinking of ending night with a bottle of 77 fonseca and or a d'yquem. WIll more than likely happen either at my house or a eatery on Long Island. I have thus commited to a 1st growth and since last year I did not vrack open the 99 isnsignia (went with a 94 dominus instead) Iwas goingto bring that bad boy out as well.
If any port lovers care to join please let me know.

Hmmm. Tempting. I wonder what I have left in the cupboard that might be worth opening for this. Anyone else thinking of participating?

I will probably open a bottle tomorrow, but not until I get home around 10pm so wouldn't be opening anything special as it will be a pop-n-pour job.AHB wrote:Hmmm. Tempting. I wonder what I have left in the cupboard that might be worth opening for this. Anyone else thinking of participating?
