1960 Ferreira vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Opened as part of the Wokingham offline on 11 June 2009.

Ullaged to mid-shoulder. Very pale orange rim; crystal clear and the colour of burnt sugar. Again, some bottle stink but caramelised comes through strongly. Sweet redcurrant dominates the mouth with a lovely balancing acidity. Quite big and mouthfilling. Lemony aftertaste followed by a sweet and lingering aftertaste. Very good indeed. 91/100.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
