Opening the bottle

Post by angeleyes »

I normally use the waiter's friend with the two steps. I'm after some prongs - where can one find them? Spotted some by chance on eBay a couple of months ago but Royal Mail managed to lose them :x

Thanks. Will definitely search for the prongs to avoid a similar issue as with the Delaforce.

Come to one of our offlines and you can have my old Ah-So. I've stopped using it as it scores grooves in either side of the cork and - inevitably - obscures the name and vintage of the wine.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Hmm... they mark the "up" side of the bottle with whitewash, why couldn't they brand the top of the cork as well to avoid this problem?
