At 9pm on new years eve I found myself looking for a bottle of port on the Ormeau Road. No tawny at all as they sold out.
Good feedback for any producers or importers lurking here! What they did have lots of was Niepoort Ruby. About half their stock!
At £10/bottle it is proving very good value. The wild life of being a parent!

Ben,
Hmm, I am not sure what to say. Niepoort Ruby is not bad but on New Years eve champagne and a vintage Port are in order!
DrDirk and i are in the middle finding out if Croft da Roeda 1980 is any good. (just decanted and half anyway need to warm us up tomorrow when we do a big walk). Otherwise we have a lot of luck with champagnes today (single bts we put aside when we were students). Henriot Cuvee Baccarat 1982 and Ruinart Vintage 1983 are very good indeed. Greetings from the Isle of dogs.
Happy New year!
