1955 Cockburn vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Slightly smelly on the nose, showing signs of bottle stink. Sweet and elegant in the mouth; very big flavours and really good structure. Delicious aftertaste, soft and gentle elegance on the length. A wine which is elegance personified. 88/100. Drunk 17 Dec 2009.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
