1900 Ferreira Colheita (bottled 1972)

Bottled 1972. Slightly cloudy chestnut colour. Musty nose of rubber bands kept in a drawer for too long. A sweet entry that is followed by the odd rubber-band tone that is quite unpleasant although others enjoyed this wine far more than I did. The aftertaste is reasonably pleasant but drops off very quickly. A poor wine in the context of the others being tasted this session. 79/100. Drunk 1 July 2007.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
