Deeper in colour than the 1966 shown alongside, colour holding into the rim. Very closed on the nose, less developed than the 1966, but continued swirling coaxes out an attractive Christmas mincemeat. Smooth in texture, sweet in impact and with some tannins still in the palate. Slightly simple aftertaste, long duration at a low level. A decent port, at an enjoyable stage of its evolution. 88/100. Drunk 13 Nov 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

S67: darker than that later revealed to be the S66, and more nose though I failed to record what. Nonetheless, even lighter than the light S66. Like its sibling, mint appeared later.
