The Special Reserve put me off this brand, but this LBV is something very different (ie it's not disgusting)
D+0 Dark ruby, almost opaque. Viscous, the tears have tannin showing in them. Powerful and sweet nose of blackberry. In the mouth it's a touch hot with a streak of acidity, plenty of tannin to finish; all this leaves the fruit in the background.
D+60 Much smoother. Heat now integrated and it has good balance. Tangy finish. Rather moreish.
