2008 Dow's Quinta do Bomfim

Acidic and herbaceous nose. Sweet fruit in the mouth but a brutal monster of a port, strongly tannic but with plenty of lavender and dark cherry fruit. The fruit follows on to the aftertaste and finish. A brutal example of young port, but with so much going on - quality which will last generations. 88-90/100. 5 July 2010.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
