2008 Quinta do Vesuvio

Subdued nose, showing some violets and blackcurrants. Soft textured on the tongue, full of sweet fruit with the ripe tannins well hidden. Medium bodied and excellent balance. Long, balanced finish that is full of fruit and chocolate. 90-92/100. Fabulous balance and a really impressive port. 5 July 2010.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
