1958 Warre vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Light red colour, 20% opaque. Lightly spiced redcurrant, full of nutmeg and cinnamon. Balanced entry, spicy apples, lots of cinnamon. Delicious cinnamon heat on the aftertaste. Bags of fruit and fantastic balance in the port, deep flavours and a great drink. Tasty port in the perfect place. 88/100. Drunk 29 December 2010 after 6 hours decanting.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
