2004 Croft LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Another half bottle from the Tesco bonanza.

Deep red, still opaque. Blueberry on the nose, fruity but not big. Sweet blackcurrant fruit and surprising tannins. Very pleasant flavours. Good aftertaste with long finish. 86/100. Drunk 4 March 2011.

These half bottles are softening and are drinking nicely now - but I think will drink better in 2-5 years time.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
