F66. Wonderful dark red, 70% opaque. But the taste all wrong: dry early, slightly rough. Not up to the standards of Fonseca 1966.

15,800 cases released. (From the case purchased at Straker Chadwick and shared between AHB, DRT and THRA.) Warm, red colour showing brick red maturity. 60% opaque. Gentle nose of spiced mulberry; a touch stewed on the palate, fruity and attractive, with very soft tannin and strong acidity. Big and lively aftertaste, that lasts a long time and is very impressive. Fabulous port. 93/100. Drunk from a sample bottle 15 days after the tasting.
