Tasted at The Big Fortified Tasting, a trade fair in London at Glaziers Hall on Wed 06 April 2011 (Review thread, containing links to other tasting notes). This being a large trade-fair event, tasting notes generally brief.
Pi07. Dark purple, 100% opacity. Medium weight, with flowers.
I suspect that an extreme floral-ness is the Pintas signature.

Pintas 2007 VP
Inky, with dense fruits of the nose and strong tannins in the mouth making it hard work. I imagine this will be very attractive when it begins to open out, but that may take many years. Quite a contrast to the 2009.

Re: 2007 Pintas
3,000 bottles produced. Black in colour, very dark. Beautiful nose, soft fruit and leafiness. Rich entry, masses of fruit that almost hides the strong tannins. Fruit dominates everything. Big, grapey aftertaste and a long finish. A beauftiful wine from a beautiful vintage. 92/100.
