2000 Ferreira LBV

Sadly, no note of the year of bottling nor whether bottled in the traditional manner or filtered.

Solid red colour, thinning on the rim and opaque in the centre. Delicate floral nose. Sweet fruit on the palate with a wood-resin tannic core. Soft tannins and significant acidity. Restrained and soft on the aftertaste, which is a little empty. Rather a light port. 83/100.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
