S58. Red-brown, 40% opaque. Nosing of brown sugar. To taste also brown sugar, slightly astringent to palate. GTDS: ‟I have had better bottles”. My previous sample of S58 was also better.

40% opaque, deep orange in colour. Empty on the nose , smelly and unpleasant. Hollow entry, dried out. Aftertaste is full of nutskins and dried apricots. Dried out and oxidised. NR.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
