Dear all,
I am due to take a bottle of port to a gathering tomorrow and i've narrowed it down to three choices;
1) Noval 1966 colheita bottled 1978.
2) Smith Woodhouse 1985.
3)Cockburns 1967.
I've only one bottle of each and unlikely to acquire more so your advice on which to open would be much appreciated.

Re: What to open?
I would put the Noval in the ‟novelty” category; with so much bottle age you can’t quite be sure how good it will be to drink. If you’re going to a Port tasting with Port fans, then why not take it, though if you’re going to serve it with pudding at a dinner then I might give it a miss.
I think the other two a very much down to personal preferences as to whether you want to drink something old or young.

I've only just seen this post, or I would have replied to it.
