Deep- to mid-red in colour. Gently attractive of the nose, full of tart lime but with a hint of VA. Soft entry, but with a harsh edge on the palate and plenty of tannins drying the cheeks. Blueberry dominated fruit, just beginning to hint at maturity. The big finish is followed by a modest aftertaste. Guessed to be Martinez 1994. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
