1934 Noval

Deep brown colour, with a red hint in the centre; 90% opaque. Attractive on the nose, with floral tones and mint over faint fruit. Concentrated entry and an attractive texture. Big levels of acidity on the palate, full of concentrated orange zest. With patience, the palate keeps growing, the fruit keeps concentrating and the acidity keeps adding new layers of spiciness. The acidity is quite pronounced on the aftertaste and preceeds a huge, fruity and sweet finish. An amazing port. 98/100. Drunk 15 October 2011.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
