1963 Graham vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Very slightly darker and more opaque than the Dow 1963 shown alongside, but barely discernable. Beautiful nose, less pronounced than the '66s. Lots of leather, meat juices and redcurrants. Sweet fruit entry, some fierce acidity struggling to show through all the fruit. Mouthfilling and intense flavours and gentle tannins. The tannins grip more firmly on the aftertaste and finish but there is so much fruit. Absolutely delightful. 94/100. Drunk 14 October 2011.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
