1980 Graham vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

90% opaque, deep red and with the first signs of bricking on the rim. Dusty plums give and attractive and sweet nose. Sweet and baalnced on entry, showing soft and mature fruit that dominates a soft, syrupy essence. Soft tannins and soft acidity. A warm aftertaste of figgy pudding and then a dark chocolate finish that lasts for ages. Great port. 91/100. Drunk 14 October 2011.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
