The first vintage in which the robotic lagares were used. Deep red, but having lost all the youthful purple. 99% opaque, just transparent on the rim. Eucalyptus on the nose, quite floral. Very sweet and balanced entry, lovely texture with a velvet layer of sweet fruit coating and softening some defined tannins and hefty acidity. Warm aftertaste of cinnamon infused plums - great length. A lovely wine. 94/100. Drunk 14 October 2011.
Small vintage; dry winter giving poor water reserves. A small crop due to limited fruit set because of the water shortage.

2000 Graham vintage port
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
