1994 Quinta do Noval Nacional vintage port

Served blind. Opaque, deep red and with a mild purple tone to the rim. Restrained on the nose with a pleasing herbaceous tone; quite developed. Restrained entry with soft sweet fruit, gently tannic and with some maturity just starting to show. A lovely aftertaste, full of sweet violets and a lovely elegance to the finish. 92/100. Drunk 13 October 2011.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
