2000 Noval Silval vintage port
Deep red, but starting to change tone; still opaque. Violets and fresh oranges on the nose; very attractive. Soft entry, with plenty of acidity and gentle tannisn to support a good blue berry fruit presence. The tannins are well balanced and not aggressive. The fruit is sweet, ripe and attractive. Very long sweet finish. Drinking well and will improve with more patience. 89/100. Drunk 13 October 2011.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
